1. Price Information
Osterfield Electrical Services VAT number is 424 7903 47. The prices shown on this web site are applicable to purchases made on the Osterfield Electrical Services web site. Special Offers and promotions advertised in the press or other media may be excluded unless specifically advertised as available online. All prices are correct at time of display online and are exclusive of VAT where applicable. Osterfield Electrical Services reserve the right to cancel any purchase contract in the event of a typing, administrative or other error resulting in an incorrect price being. In these circumstances, neither parties will be bound to continue with that contract, you may be asked by Osterfield Electrical Services to confirm whether or not you wish to proceed with your order including all goods correctly priced. There will be no contract in place unless and until you do email us to confirm that you wish to proceed.
2. Ordering Goods
Simply browse our web site and select the items you require, you then have three choices: a) Buy immediately online and pay using your debit or credit card via Paypal; b) Telephone our order line and pay by debit or credit card c) Send your order by post and pay by cheque or postal order. To open an account or for account information please contact our finance department on email@example.com . Please note new accounts are subject to an accounts approval process and we reserve the right to decline any account applications.
We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received by Osterfield Electrical Services we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending a confirmation email to you at the address provided on your order form. Acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between Osterfield Electrical Services and the customer.
4. Validation Checks
All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. In addition, in the interests of preventing fraudulent use of credit, debit and charge cards, Osterfield Electrical Services will validate the names, addresses and other information supplied during the order process with the card issuer. We may need to contact you again to verify details before we are able to dispatch your order or we may be unable to accept your order.
5. Credit Card Misuse
The majority of card issuers cover all the charges that may result from unauthorised use of your credit card or debit cards. If you believe your credit or debit card has been subject to unauthorised use you should contact your card issuer without delay.
6. Delivery of Goods
Osterfield Electrical Services can deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom and to non-mainland UK addresses and also certain remote UK mainland addresses and locations including the Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands and EEC countries Please check individual products for applicable carriage fees. If you are unsure about the carriage fees advertised on this website please contact our customer service advisor or link to contact page. Goods can be delivered either to your home address or to any specified alternative address or to your work (subject to the possibility of additional delivery charges as referred to in the previous paragraph, in respect of non UK mainland and remote addresses and locations), but we will have fulfilled our delivery obligations to you if we arrange delivery to the delivery address provided by you in your online order (or if no specific delivery address is given to us, by delivery to your own address as provided to us). Your order will be delivered either by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or by Courier. A signature is required for all Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and Courier deliveries.

6b) UK Delivery Times
Delivery times are calculated in working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive (working days does not include weekends or National Bank Holidays). In the event of your order coinciding with a Bank Holiday please allow an extra 3 working days. From the receipt of payment for your order we will endeavour to deliver your chosen items to you within 3 working days providing the goods are in stock. Deliveries to non-Mainland or remote locations may take longer. Risk in the goods will pass to you on delivery. Goods delivered by courier should arrive between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. All deliveries must be signed for. If you are out when the courier arrives the Courier will leave a card with the contact number for you to call to arrange a suitable time for redelivery or for you to collect the goods from the local depot.
We do everything we can to meet the delivery time specified in this section, however occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed. We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected delay.
7. Restrictions on Ordering and Delivery
If we can supply to an address outside the UK we will agree delivery costs and charges and anticipated despatch and delivery dates with you.
Please note that you must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. Certain national laws may prohibit the importation or exportation of certain of our goods to you. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.

9. Cancellation of Contract by you and Unwanted Goods
If you decide that you do not want any item which we have delivered or which you have ordered then, provided that you notify us in writing of such cancellation and that any such item is returned to us by you (see below as to methods of returning goods) in its original and unused condition (including in its original packaging), along with delivery note (as proof of purchase) within 28 days of delivery, we will exchange it or offer a refund.
A cancellation charge of 30% for goods returned will be applied; the carriage cost will be the responsibility of the buyer.
9a. When returning any goods:
You are required to obtain a certificate of postage (available from all Post Offices at no charge) when returning items by post.
9b) Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract in respect of such goods, any sum debited to us from your credit card will be re-credited to your account (less any cancellation charges) as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order PROVIDED THAT the goods in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you.
10. Faulty Goods and Liability
If you purchase a product from us which is found to be faulty or is not what you ordered we will at your option supply a replacement product (or the correct product), or arrange for a repair or give you a refund of the purchase price, provided that you notify us in writing within 5 working days of delivery of the goods in question. Please return the item with delivery note or other proof of purchase and upon receipt of the product we will examine it. We aim to dispatch a replacement product, arrange a repair or refund your money within 14 days. In relation to returning any such goods to us:
10 a) By post
You are advised to return a certificate of posting (available from all Post Offices at no charge) when returning items by post. If the item is faulty we will re-imburse you the postage costs.
10 b) By Courier.
We can arrange collection by courier, which would be free of charge if the item is faulty or is the incorrect item
If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing at our contact address of the problem within 20 days of the date on which you ordered the goods.
Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

12. Events beyond our control
We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.
If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
15. Third Party Rights
Except for our affiliates, directors, employees or representatives, a person who is not a party to this agreement has no right under the UK Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this agreement but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available apart from that Act
16. Governing Law
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.
